AI and Meaning
Trying to sort out what AI means for your work, career, or next step?
A private, voice-only reality-check conversation for experienced knowledge workers facing AI-driven career uncertainty.
AI is changing how work gets done. For many experienced knowledge workers, the difficult part is not simply learning new tools. It is sorting out what these changes may mean for your job, your direction, the value of your experience, and what to do next. You may be wondering:
What is actually changing in my work?
What am I assuming will happen?
What am I afraid this means about me?
Is my experience becoming less valuable—or valuable in a different way?
What deserves my attention now?
What next step would give me more clarity?
You do not need to have those questions neatly organized before reaching out.
A practical reality check
This is a private, no-pressure conversation to help you separate:
what is actually happening,
what may be changing,
what you may be assuming or fearing,
what you may be concluding about yourself,
and what next step could give you more clarity.
The goal is not to talk you into a decision. It is to help you see your situation more clearly so you can decide what deserves your attention next.
No camera. No presentation. No preparation needed.
The conversation is voice-only.You do not need to appear on video, prepare slides, organize your thoughts perfectly, or arrive with a plan. You can begin with whatever feels most pressing or unclear. The conversation is private and intended to provide a lower-pressure alternative to discussing career concerns publicly on LinkedIn or elsewhere.
This may be useful if you are:
currently employed but increasingly uncertain about what AI means for your role,
an experienced professional concerned that age or experience may be working against you,
feeling pressure to “catch up” without knowing what is actually relevant,
questioning whether your current career direction still makes sense,
worried that your accumulated knowledge may be losing value,
unsure whether the threat you feel is immediate, longer-term, or partly assumed,
reluctant to discuss these concerns publicly,
or looking for a private place to think before making decisions.
This is especially intended for experienced knowledge workers who are not necessarily looking for another course, certification, or tool tutorial.
What this is not
This is not:
AI software training,
prompt-engineering instruction,
a technical assessment,
therapy,
a standardized career assessment,
résumé writing,
conventional career coaching,
pressure to leave your job,
pressure to reinvent yourself,
a sales presentation disguised as a conversation,
or a promise that uncertainty can be eliminated.
It is a practical opportunity to look at what is happening and determine what deserves your attention next.
What to expect
You can bring a specific concern, such as:
changes happening inside your company,
fear about job displacement,
uncertainty about whether to learn new AI tools,
questions about the future value of your role,
concern about ageism,
confusion about whether to stay, adapt, or begin planning a change,
or a general sense that something is changing but you cannot yet make sense of it.
We may look at:
what you know,
what you do not know,
what appears likely,
what you may be assuming,
what concerns are practical,
and what small next step might give you better information.
You do not need to leave with a major decision.A useful outcome may simply be greater clarity about what to look at next.
About me
I bring more than 30 years of cross-functional experience across product development, engineering, software, quality assurance, and compliance.Much of that work involved fast-moving situations where the facts were incomplete, different groups understood the situation differently, and the way forward was not obvious. My role was often to help people clarify the outcomes they wanted to achieve, make sense of what was actually happening, and identify practical choices for moving toward those outcomes.
